About the Event
The UCI Cross Country Mountain Bike World Cup is a 7 round series that visits South Africa, Germany, Canada, Czech Republic and Italy as well as Yorkshires Dalby Forest. The UK leg of the series is the second round of the series and takes place in Dalby Forest in Yorkshire, a Forestry Commission area renowned for its outdoor pursuits facilities. This weekend festival of Mountain Biking begins in Pickering on 20th May, finishing on Sunday 22nd May. The World Cup is an important part of the qualification procedure for the Olympic Games in London in 2012.
